ADBUGGY IS GIVING DIGNITY BACK TO DISABLED BY HELPING THEM BECOME ENABLED

SOME HISTORY

You have seen them, people in wheelchairs or on crutches, sitting at an intersection with a sign asking for help. They have no way to earn a living; they barely get by living at shelters or existing on the street homeless. Everybody tries to ignore them thinking someone else will come to their aid or it’s not my problem the government will take care of them.

According to the U.S bureau of labor statics in 2017 only 32% of disabled persons had full time work while 18% were employed part time. Of the disabled that work full time the majority are self-employed. The question is what kinds of businesses are readily available for the disabled to get involved in with a small investment and minimal training.

Now there’s an answer The Adbuggy...

OUR PROJECT

The project is a social enterprise created to help the disabled become self-sufficient and contributing members of the community by operating their own business.

The Adbuggy is an enclosed, heated/air conditioned powered wheelchair ready for outdoor use. It is specially equipped to display advertising in public places such as sidewalks and corners at busy traffic intersections where prime exposure is at its highest. Essentially a high tech eye catching sign spinner.

There are two sign systems on the Adbuggy. One in front and one in the back so advertising can be for separate businesses with different advertising on each side of the banner, thus making it possible to advertise for four different businesses reducing the cost for each business. There are two 4’x4’ banners with a total of 64 square feet of signage. The Adbuggy is 29 inches wide and the signs are located on one side. When the Adbuggy is parked on the sidewalk facing the same direction as the street traffic the signs don’t protrude onto the sidewalk any further than the Adbuggy making room for pedestrian traffic.

A complete unit will lease to the operator for $500 per month. The $500 covers insurance, maintenance and deprecation. The lessor will also receive income from the revenue derived from renting the body of the Adbuggy in a vinyl wrap.

The operator will be able to generate revenue of $3,000-$8,000 per month depending on pricing and hours operated.
